The Learners License (LLR) is the temporary License is valid up to 6 months from the date of issue. No person shall drive a Motor Vehicle in public place without Driving License. Eligibility for Punjab Learners Driving Licence

Any person who has completed

  • 16 years of age is eligible to get a driving license Vehicle without Gear – not Exceeding 50 cubic centimeter (cc).
  • 18 years of age is eligible to get a driving license of Vehicle with Gear also Light Motor Vehicle

Documents Required for Punjab Learners Driving Licence (LLR)

  • Application Form
  • Learners License Test appointment receipt
  • Two Passport Size Photographs
  • Self Declaration form
  • Age certificate as given by the registered medical practitioner
  • Address proof – Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Recent Electricity bills or telephone bills, Ration Card.
  • Age Proof – Life insurance policy, Ration Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Birth Certificate, Passport, Recent passport-size photographs of the applicant.
  • Age certificate as given by the registered medical practitioner
  • Citizens identity card issued by the social welfare department of Chandigarh, U.T.

Procedure for Punjab Learners Driving Licence (LLR)

The Punjab government will not implement the online facility for applying the Learners license to the Punjab citizens. Just you have only Download Application Form through Online as well as to search the nearest Local Licence Centres.

  • You can apply for learners license (LLR) in Punjab through offline as the following process
  • Go the nearest Local Transport Office in your region then collect the ‘New Learners License’ Application
  • You can fill all the details along with supporting documents also Passport sized photographs
  • After verification of your Application Form then you will have to go through the Learners License Test.
  • The learner’s test is conducted for the duration of 10 minutes also it has 10 multiple objective type questions
  • To qualify the minimum score for 6 marks then the Learners License is issued to the users who have passed this test
  • A handbook is allotted to go through and learn before about the contents of learners test as Road Signs, Traffic Rules and Regulation with the Application Form.
  • Once you qualify the Test, then a copy of Learners Licence will send to the registered address by courier.
  • The excepted delivery period of Learners License for 5 working days
  • If you fail a test, then you have a chance to take the test.
